Abstract: Direct partial oxidation of methane to synthesis gas using La0.8Sr 0.2-Fe0.9Co0.1O3 oxide as the oxygen carrier was investigate d in a fixed-bed reactor. Methane can be selectively converted to synthesis gas , and the oxygen species can be replenished by gaseous oxygen in redox reaction. The production of synthesis gas by sequential redox cycles over the La0. 8Sr0.2Fe0.9Co0.1O3 perovskite oxide was possible.
