Abstract: The reduction behavior of a sintered NiO/YSZ anode used for intermediate tempera ture solid oxide fuel cells was studied by H2 temperature-programmed reductio n, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and open circuit voltage. The reducti on of NiO/YSZ is affected by the sintering temperature, NiO content, and H2O p roduced during the initial reduction period.
