Abstract: Carbon-doped TiO2 with large surface area has been successfully synthesized b y h ydrolysis of tetrabutyl titanate in the pores of resin and calcination in nitrog en and air. The use of resin not only realizes carbon doping in TiO2 but also li mits the aggregation of TiO2 nanocrystals. The carbon-doped TiO2 exhibits h igher activity than P25 under the irradiation of both visible and UV light.
