Abstract: Ce-doped Ti/TiO2 electrodes were prepared by the sol-gel method under the op timal conditions of temperature of 450 ℃, time of 90 min, and doping amount of Ce 1 .5%. Ce doping enhanced the catalytic pe rformance of the electrode. The chemical oxygen demand reduction of oil-field w as tewater was up to 80% after 90 min treatment with the Ce-dope d Ti/TiO2 electrode.
