Abstract: After the ammonia extraction, polymeric Mo (W) species (easily forming active Mo S2(WS2) after sulfiding) and bulk MoO3(WO3) were removed, wh ile the residual metal species still have a strong interaction with alumina surf a ce. However, by further calcination, a new equilibrium, depending on th e surface characteristics of alumina, can be reached by their redispersion on al umina surface.
