Abstract: The decomposition of cumene hydroperoxide catalyzed by tetra-(p- chlorophenyl)porphinatomanganese chloride was studied by EPR. The cumene hydroperoxide decomposition started by the homolytic O–O bond cleavage because of the T(p-Cl)PPMnIIICl catalyst generating cumoxyl radicals in the initial reaction stage.
