Abstract: A novel mesoporous Ni/TiO2 catalyst with whisker morphology and high surface area was prepared by incipient impregnation. Because of its special meso-structure, Ni/TiO2 showed high activity, selectivity, and stability in the hydrogenation of p-nitrophenol. The catalyst can be separated from reaction solution under self-gravity conditions. Thus, it has very good prospects for industrial applications.
