Abstract: The Ni-based catalyst with the Fe additive showed high tar removal because of interaction of nickel oxides and iron oxides on palygorskite (PG). The tar removal of 99.0% was obtained over 8%Fe-6%Ni/PG, which was 34.6% and 30% higher than 6%Ni/PG and 8%Mn-6%Ni/PG, respectively.
