Synthesis and Characterization of Visible-Light-Responding Bi0.5La0.5VO4 Solid Solution for Photocatalytic Water Splitting

Abstract: Visible-light-driven Bi0.5La0.5VO4 solid solution was synthesized by a solid state reaction at high temperature and used to split water to stoichiometric H2 and O2 under visible light (λ > 400 nm) irradiation with cocatalysts.
