Abstract: Different states of Fe species in Fe2O3-MgO/Al2O3, Fe2O3/MgAl2O4, and MgFe0.1Al1.9O4 catalysts with the same content of Mg, Fe, and Al showed extremely different catalytic performance in ethylbenzene dehydrogenation with CO2. Highly dispersed Fe2O3 in Fe2O3/MgAl2O4 deactivated rapidly, whereas Fe3+ that incorporated into the spinel framework of MgFe0.1Al1.9O4 exhibited high activity and good stability.
