Effect of La2O3 on a Precipitated Iron Catalyst for Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis

Abstract: With increasing La2O3 content in the precipitated iron Fischer-Tropsch synthesis catalyst, the formation of iron carbides was first favored and then inhibited. Accordingly, the catalyst activity increased first and then decreased dramatically. The optimum La2O3 content is La/Fe = 0.01.
