Abstract: The intrinsic activity of Pt in the interfacially alloyed Pt-on-Ag nanostructured catalyst for oxygen reduction reaction was about twice that in the Pt/C catalyst. Compared with the unalloyed catalyst, the alloying at Pt/Ag interface in Pt0.5^Ag-B/C resulted in a more efficient use of Pt.
