Hydrogen Production by Aqueous-Phase Reforming of Biomass over Supported Pt Catalysts

Abstract: An acidic support tended to increase hydrocarbon formation due to the dehydration reaction. The hydrogen selectivity and yield for the reforming of glucose decreased with increasing glucose concentration, while selectivity for hydrocarbon had a maximum, which was ascribed to the homogeneous degradation and condensation reactions.
