Photocatalytic Degradation of Gaseous Benzene over TiO2/BixTiyOz: A Kinetic Model and Degradation Mechanism

Abstract: A benzene molecule is excitated by a hole, then reacts with water, and produces a phenol molecule. Some radicals are produced when the phenol molecule accepts a hydroxyl radical. For these radicals, small ones combine with phenol and finally produce 2,6-dibutyl-4-methyl phenol.
